Camouflage training for Connecticut artists

Connecticut's corridor from Stamford through New Haven to Hartford sits inside one of the densest Northeast beauty markets. Camouflage done carefully is still scarce — but only after artists meet DPH tattoo technician rules.

The SKINEAV 1:1 Zoom course teaches Connecticut artists scar and stretch mark assessment, custom colour matching, conservative technique on healed tissue, and honest consultations — live and private with Evelyn from Canada. It is not a video library.

Tuition: $2,997 USD for the live online 1:1 Zoom course taught from Canada, or $3,697 USD with the training kit shipped to the US. Payment plans are available, e.g. $500 deposit + 3 x $999. See the US course page for what is included.

How tattoo technician licensing works in Connecticut (check before enrolling)

Connecticut licenses tattoo technicians through DPH. See Chapter 387a and tattoo technician materials. Statute requires a DPH license to practise tattooing, with bloodborne pathogen coursework, first-aid certification, and — for many applicants — documentation of substantial practical training (commonly described on the order of 2,000 hours under a licensed tattoo technician) or other routes in statute. Important: the SKINEAV Certificate of Completion is not a Connecticut tattoo technician license and does not replace DPH practical-hour requirements. Contact DPH about your pathway first if you are not yet licensed.

What Connecticut artists ask before enrolling

"Count toward Connecticut practical hours?" No. DPH sets practical training requirements.

"Permanent makeup same license?" Ask DPH how permanent cosmetics and camouflage are treated under the tattoo technician license.

"Train while completing hours?" Theory and practice-skin yes; client tattooing must stay inside legal status.

How the course fits a Connecticut beauty business

Licensed CT tattoo technicians can add camouflage after confirming scope with DPH. Unlicensed artists should map the DPH hour pathway before relying on client work.

The course covers the full basics of camouflage, learning on practice skin, theory, machine and ink, pigment chemistry basics, and the business side: finding your audience, building a pricing strategy you set yourself, and spacing sessions properly. You can add the training kit, you receive a SKINEAV Certificate of Completion, and you get six months of mentorship with Evelyn afterwards. It does not promise clients or income. It gives you a skill, a method and someone to ask when a real case comes in.

See the US course overview for the full curriculum and format.

Licensing note: the SKINEAV Certificate of Completion shows you finished Evelyn's training. It is not a state license, permit or registration. Before you tattoo anyone in the US, check and follow the rules of your state, county and city.
