Paramedical camouflage course for Florida artists, live 1:1 on Zoom
One-on-one scar and stretch mark camouflage training on Zoom for artists in Miami, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville and across Florida, with no time difference for most of the state.

Camouflage training for Florida artists
Florida has one of the largest beauty and aesthetics markets in the country, and a big share of it sits in South Florida's plastic surgery corridor. That matters for camouflage: clients who have had tummy tucks, breast surgery, liposuction and other procedures often end up with healed scars that are lighter than their skin. Many of them go looking for a cosmetic tattoo artist who can blend those scars, and stretch marks, toward their natural tone.
The SKINEAV 1:1 Zoom course teaches Florida PMU artists, tattoo artists, estheticians and nurses how to assess those clients, mix custom pigment for each skin tone and work safely on scar tissue. It is live, private training with Evelyn, not a video library.
Tuition: $2,997 USD for the live online 1:1 Zoom course taught from Canada, or $3,697 USD with the training kit shipped to the US. Payment plans are available, e.g. $500 deposit + 3 x $999. See the US course page for what is included.
How tattoo and permanent cosmetics licensing works in Florida
Florida is a state that licenses individual artists. According to the Florida Department of Health, a state tattoo artist license is required for anyone who tattoos another person, and that explicitly includes cosmetic tattooing, permanent makeup, microblading and micropigmentation. Paramedical camouflage falls under cosmetic tattooing.
At a high level, the Department of Health page lists these requirements: being at least 18, applying through the county health department where you live, completing an approved bloodborne pathogens and communicable diseases course, and naming the licensed tattoo establishment where you work. Licenses are renewed every year. The legal basis is section 381.00775 of the Florida Statutes, and the Department also has a page on microblading and permanent cosmetics.
Rules change, so check the official pages yourself before you work on a client. The SKINEAV Certificate of Completion is proof of training, not a Florida license, and it does not replace any of the steps above.
Real training moments

Where Florida camouflage clients are
Demand for camouflage tends to follow population and cosmetic surgery activity. In Florida that points to a few clear areas:
- Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach: a dense cosmetic surgery market, a very diverse range of skin tones and a strong PMU community
- Tampa, St. Petersburg and Sarasota: a growing aesthetics scene on the Gulf Coast
- Orlando: a large, young population and plenty of med spas
- Jacksonville: fewer camouflage specialists, which can mean less competition for a new service
South Florida in particular brings clients with olive, brown and deep skin tones. Matching those tones is where many artists struggle, and it is the part of the course Evelyn spends the most time on. See camouflage on skin of colour for background.

Scheduling from Florida
Almost all of Florida is on Eastern Time, the same as Evelyn in Toronto, so a 10 a.m. session is 10 a.m. for both of you. The western Panhandle, including Pensacola and Panama City, is on Central Time, one hour behind. Sessions can be booked around your existing client days, and we confirm every time in writing.
How the course fits a Florida PMU or tattoo business
Because Florida requires you to work from a licensed establishment, most students add camouflage as a new service inside the studio where they already work. The course covers how to explain camouflage in a consultation, how to photograph scars consistently, how to space sessions so pigment can settle, and how to set your own pricing. It does not promise a number of clients or income. What it gives you is the technique, the colour skills and six months of mentorship while you build a portfolio.

Licensing note: the SKINEAV Certificate of Completion shows you finished Evelyn's training. It is not a state license, permit or registration. Before you tattoo anyone in the US, check and follow the rules of your state, county and city.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a Florida license to do scar camouflage?
Florida's Department of Health says a tattoo artist license is required for cosmetic tattooing, including permanent makeup and micropigmentation. Camouflage is cosmetic tattooing, so check the official Department of Health pages and your county health department before you work on clients.
Does the SKINEAV certificate count toward a Florida license?
No. It is a Certificate of Completion for Evelyn's training. Florida licensing has its own requirements, including an approved bloodborne pathogens course, set by the Department of Health.
What time are sessions for Florida students?
Most of Florida is on Eastern Time, the same as Toronto, so there is no time difference. The western Panhandle is one hour behind.
Can I train if I work in a Miami med spa?
Yes, if you are allowed to tattoo where you work. Many students add camouflage within an existing licensed studio or med spa.
Is the course live?
Yes. It is live, one-on-one with Evelyn on Zoom, with six months of mentorship afterwards.
