Imagine if your scars and stretch marks could naturally blend into your skin. This is called camouflage tattoo, a specialized treatment designed to reduce the appearance of scars, stretch marks, vitiligo, hypo and hyperpigmentation by implanting custom pigments into the skin. Unlike regular tattoos, this technique is all about color matching and natural blending. The goal is not to completely erase texture, it’s to make discoloration less noticeable, so your skin can look more even and natural. Results vary from person to person. Results heal gradually over multiple sessions and are customized especially for your skin tone. If you’ve been hiding certain parts of your body for years, many clients tell us this changed the way they feel about that area.

Before & after

See real results privately

I only ever show real SKINEAV clients, with their permission. A lot of people with other scars would rather keep their photos private, and I respect that. So I'll walk you through examples one-on-one when you come in.

After: the same scar blended closer to the surrounding skin Before: a light, hypopigmented scar
Scar · hypopigmented scar

The closest example I can show publicly: a light, hypopigmented scar on a real client. It is not a burn scar, and your result will depend on your own skin.

From Evelyn

A note from Evelyn about burn, injury and self-harm scars

You never have to tell me how you got a scar. Some people want to talk about it, most don't, and both are fine with me.

Burn, acne, injury and self-harm scars all heal differently, so I'll look at yours closely before I say anything about results. If you'd rather start without coming in, you can send a photo for a free assessment, or call for a free phone consult.

What it is and who it affects

About other scars

Some scars come with a memory attached: an accident, a burn, a hard season of acne, or a painful time in your life. Many people cover them for years with long sleeves, makeup or decorative tattoos they never really wanted.

When a scar heals lighter or darker than your natural tone, camouflage can soften that contrast so it stops drawing the eye.

What I do at SKINEAV

Your consultation is one-on-one with me, in a private room. I look at the scar's colour, texture and healing, and I tell you honestly what camouflage can and can't do for it. It softens colour contrast. It doesn't change the texture of a scar.

“We don’t fix texture, we fix color.”Evelyn Alvares Vega
  • Burn scars

Healed burn scars with lighter or uneven colour, assessed carefully.

  • Injury & accident scars

Cuts, falls, bites and other healed trauma scars.

  • Acne scars

Selected flat or lighter acne scars, assessed individually.

  • Self-harm scars

Handled privately, with dignity, by Evelyn herself.

A private, judgement-free space for self-harm scars

You never have to explain your story. Many people carry scars from a difficult time, and choosing to soften them is a personal decision we respect completely. Scars should be fully healed, and we will always go at your pace.

Prefer not to talk? That's okay. Use the private assessment form and choose email or text for my reply. You don't even have to send a photo.

If you are struggling right now, please reach out for support first. In Canada you can call or text 9-8-8, the Suicide Crisis Helpline, any time.

I'll always be honest about this

Is burn and injury scar camouflage right for you?

It's often a good fit if

  • Your scar is fully healed, flat or close to flat
  • It is lighter or darker than the skin around it
  • You want it to draw less attention

I may suggest waiting if

  • Scars that are still pink, raised or changing
  • Keloid or thick hypertrophic scars (assessed with extra caution)
  • Burn scars with fragile or very thin skin

  2. Colour plan

I plan the pigment around your tone and how the scar reads in different light.

  3. Gentle application

The colour settles over a few weeks. Some scars do better with more than one session.

Good questions

Questions about burn and injury scar camouflage

These are the questions I get asked most. If yours isn’t here, call or text and ask me.

Call +1 (437) 475-2757 All questions
Do I have to explain how I got my scar?

No. Your consultation is private, and you share only what you want to.

Can burn scars be camouflaged?

Some can. Burn scars vary a lot in texture and skin thickness, so each one is assessed carefully. Evelyn will tell you honestly whether camouflage suits yours.

What about acne scars?

Selected flat or lighter acne scars may suit camouflage. Deep pitted scars are a texture concern, which camouflage does not change.

Will the scar disappear?

Camouflage aims to make a scar far less noticeable by softening colour contrast. Texture can still show, and results vary from person to person.

How long does it last?

It's pigment placed in the skin, so it doesn't wash off like makeup. Like any cosmetic tattoo it can soften over the years, with sun and as your skin renews itself, so a touch-up may be recommended later on. Daily sun protection on the area helps it last.

Will it look natural, or like a tattoo?

The goal is a soft blend toward your own skin, so that once it's healed it shouldn't read as a tattoo. That's why I mix the colour for you, test it on your skin first, and build it up gently, sometimes over more than one session.

Can you match my skin tone?

Every pigment is mixed for the person in my chair, from fair to deep skin, and tested against your tone and undertone before we start. If I don't think I can get a good match for your skin, I'll tell you at the consultation.

Is it safe?

It's a cosmetic tattoo procedure, done in a private treatment room at my clinic. We go through your health history first. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active skin condition, or your scar isn't fully healed, I'll ask you to wait or to check with your doctor before we start.

What if it doesn't work for me?

Then I'd rather tell you before you spend anything. That's what the free assessment and the colour test are for. Camouflage softens colour contrast and doesn't change texture, so I'll be honest about what's realistic for your skin. If you go ahead, we look at the result together at every session.
