Paramedical camouflage course for Arizona artists, live 1:1 on Zoom
One-on-one scar and stretch mark camouflage training on Zoom for artists in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa, Tucson and across Arizona. Live with Evelyn, scheduled around Arizona time.

Camouflage training for Arizona artists
Arizona's population has grown fast, and the Phoenix area, especially Scottsdale, has become a regional hub for cosmetic surgery and aesthetics. Strong sun also shapes the work here. Scars and white patches tend to stand out more against tanned skin, and Arizona clients often ask how a camouflaged area will look after a summer outdoors.
The SKINEAV 1:1 Zoom course teaches how to assess clients, match pigment to skin that changes with the seasons, and explain realistic outcomes, in private live sessions with Evelyn.
Tuition: $2,997 USD for the live online 1:1 Zoom course taught from Canada, or $3,697 USD with the training kit shipped to the US. Payment plans are available, e.g. $500 deposit + 3 x $999. See the US course page for what is included.
How tattoo rules work in Arizona
Arizona is different from Florida, Texas and California: there is no state-wide tattoo artist license. State law sets some baseline rules, such as A.R.S. 13-3721, which covers tattooing and body art for people under 18. Most other requirements come from cities and towns, through zoning, business licensing and local codes.
For example, Maricopa County does not issue general business licenses and tells businesses to check with their city or town. Some cities regulate tattoo businesses directly. The City of Maricopa's code, for instance, sets special requirements for tattoo establishments, including annual bloodborne pathogen training for staff.
Because the rules depend on where you work, check with your city before you take camouflage clients. The SKINEAV Certificate of Completion is proof of training, not a license or permit, and it does not replace any local requirement.
Real training moments

Where Arizona camouflage clients are
- Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler and Gilbert: most of the state's population, and Scottsdale's concentration of plastic surgeons and med spas
- Tucson: a large university city with fewer camouflage specialists
- Flagstaff and Prescott: smaller markets with little local competition
Arizona clients cover a wide range of skin tones, including many Hispanic and Native American clients with warm, olive and brown undertones. The course spends real time on matching these tones. See how colour matches can change over time, which matters in a sunny state.

Questions Arizona artists ask before training
"With no state license, do I still need training?" Yes. The absence of a state-wide license does not make camouflage simple. Working on scar tissue, choosing depth, and matching pigment to skin that tans and fades through the year all take skill. Clients and local authorities will still expect safe, clean and well-documented work.
"How do I handle clients who spend a lot of time outdoors?" Many Arizona clients hike, golf or work outside. The course covers how sun can change the look of skin around a treated area, why sun protection matters during healing and afterwards, and how to schedule sessions so you can check the match in more neutral skin.
"Can I travel to clients across the state?" Rules differ by city, and some locations may require their own permits. Check each city where you plan to work before booking mobile or guest appointments.
Scheduling from Arizona
Most of Arizona stays on Mountain Standard Time all year and does not change clocks. In winter, that puts you two hours behind Toronto. In summer, while Toronto is on daylight time, you are three hours behind. The Navajo Nation does observe daylight saving time. We book sessions in your local time and confirm both times in writing, so the clock change does not cause a missed session.
How the course fits an Arizona PMU or tattoo business
Most Arizona students add camouflage to an existing studio, salon or med spa. The course covers consultation, sun and aftercare advice, photography, spacing sessions and setting your own pricing. It does not promise clients or income. It gives you technique, colour-matching skills and six months of mentorship.
See the US course overview for the full curriculum.
Licensing note: the SKINEAV Certificate of Completion shows you finished Evelyn's training. It is not a state license, permit or registration. Before you tattoo anyone in the US, check and follow the rules of your state, county and city.
