Breast surgery scar camouflage: softer lines
Breast reduction, lift and augmentation scars often heal lighter than the surrounding skin. When they have fully matured, camouflage can help them blend.

Breast surgery scars follow predictable lines: under the fold, vertically down the lower breast, and sometimes around the areola. Some fade beautifully. Others settle white or silvery and stay noticeable, especially on medium and deeper skin tones where the contrast is stronger.
What I treat
I camouflage healed, flat scars on the breast skin itself, such as the vertical and fold scars from a reduction or lift, and incision scars from augmentation. The aim is to bring the scar closer to the colour of the skin beside it. I assess any scar near or around the areola individually at the consultation, because the skin colour changes there and the match has to change with it.
“We don’t fix texture, we fix color.”

When to start
Your scar must be fully healed and mature. That often takes many months, and some scars take longer. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, wait. If your surgeon has any concerns about the area, or you are still under follow-up, talk to them first. I would rather you wait than start too early.
Real results and real moments

Colour matching on breast skin
Breast skin is often lighter and more even than skin that sees the sun, so matching it needs a careful formula. I test the colour on your skin at the consultation. Scars rarely hold one colour along their length, so I may adjust the formula from one section to the next. More on this in how skin colour matching works.
How it works at SKINEAV

What to expect
Most clients describe the sensation as a light scratching. Scar tissue may feel different from the skin around it. The treated area looks stronger at first and then settles over the following weeks. Some scars need a second session. A soft, non-wired bra can be more comfortable for the first days, and the area should stay out of the sun.
Limits, honestly
Camouflage does not change texture. Raised, wide or keloid scars are not always suitable. Scars that are darker than your skin are harder to improve with pigment. You will hear this from me at the consultation, before anything is booked.
Frequently asked questions
Can breast reduction scars be camouflaged?
Healed, flat scars that are lighter than the surrounding skin are often good candidates. Each scar is assessed at a consultation.
When can I start after breast surgery?
Only when the scar is fully healed and mature, often many months later. Check with your surgeon first.
Is this an areola tattoo?
No. This page is about blending scars toward your skin tone. Scars near the areola are assessed individually.
Does it hurt?
Most clients describe a light scratching feeling. Scar tissue can be more or less sensitive than normal skin.
