Stretch marks on the arms, chest and shoulders: camouflage options
These areas show in T-shirts and tank tops, so they bother many people, women and men alike.

Stretch marks on the upper arms, inner arms, chest, shoulders and around the underarms often come from growth spurts, strength training or weight change. They are some of the most visible stretch marks in summer.
How these areas differ
- Sun exposure: shoulders and outer arms see more sun than the abdomen, so the skin around the marks can change colour across the seasons.
- Movement: the underarm and inner arm move and stretch constantly.
- Sensitivity: the inner arm is often more sensitive than the outer arm.
“We don’t fix texture, we fix color.”

Who is a good candidate
Mature white or silver stretch marks, lighter than the surrounding skin, on skin that has stopped changing. If you are still gaining muscle quickly, or your weight is changing, marks may keep forming. Waiting until things are stable gives a better, longer-lasting result.

Colour matching
I match the formula to the skin around each section, and ask how much you tan. For deeper skin tones, undertone is especially important.

Healing
Loose sleeves help. Avoid gym sessions that rub or stretch the area hard during the first days, and keep it out of the sun. Follow your aftercare guide.
Training clients: tell me your workout schedule. We can plan the session around a lighter training week.
Frequently asked questions
Can stretch marks on the shoulders from the gym be camouflaged?
Yes, once they have matured to white or silver and your training and weight are fairly stable.
Is the inner arm painful to treat?
The inner arm is often more sensitive than the outer arm. Breaks are available whenever you need them.
