Stretch mark camouflage on medium and deep skin

The paler the stretch mark against your skin, the more it shows. On deeper skin tones that contrast can be strong, and colour matching has to be precise.

Stretch marks on darker skin at SKINEAV, Vaughan

Many of my stretch mark clients have olive, brown or deep skin. They often tell me their stretch marks look "bright" against their skin. That is contrast, and contrast is exactly what camouflage works on.

Why deeper skin needs a careful formula

Deeper skin tones carry rich and varied undertones: warm, red, golden, olive, neutral. A formula that is a little too light or too ashy stands out quickly. I mix pigment for your skin, adjusting the undertone as much as the depth, and test it on you before treatment.

“We don’t fix texture, we fix color.”

Skin that changes across the body

The hips, thighs and abdomen can be different shades on the same person. Large stretch mark areas often need more than one formula, adjusted section by section.

Darker marks and uneven tone

Some people develop marks or patches that are darker than the surrounding skin. These are not treated with pigment the same way, because adding colour can make a dark mark more visible. They are assessed individually. See hyperpigmentation and stains.

Healing on deeper skin

Healing can look darker or uneven at first before it settles. Follow aftercare closely and keep the area out of the sun. If you know your skin tends to darken after irritation, tell me at the consultation so we can plan conservatively.
