Building your camouflage portfolio: tips for new artists
"In the beginning, your portfolio is everything." Here is how to build one that is honest and convincing.

People need to see your work before they trust you with their skin. That is the reality of starting in camouflage. Evelyn's advice, from the Academy video, starts here.
Choose models carefully
Offer a few free or discounted treatments in exchange for permission to photograph results. Choose clients who are good candidates: mature, pale stretch marks or flat, healed scars. A poor candidate will give you a poor photo, no matter how good your technique.

Tell the story
Do not just post the photo. With permission, share what the client felt, why they came and how they felt after. Stories get shared, and shares become new clients.
