How to read camouflage before and after photos
Photos are how most people judge an artist. A few simple checks help you see what is really there.

Before and after photos sell camouflage. They can also mislead, often unintentionally. Here is what to look for.
Fresh vs healed
Right after a session, the area can look strong, pink or darker, and sometimes surprisingly "perfect" because of swelling and fresh pigment. The real result shows only after healing. Ask whether a photo is healed, and how long after the session it was taken.
“We don’t fix texture, we fix color.”
Evelyn Alvares Vega, founder of SKINEAV
Same light, same angle
Side light shows texture; flat light hides it. Warm light flatters colour; cool light shows contrast. In an honest comparison, the before and after are taken in similar light, distance and angle.
Real results and real moments

Filters and editing
Smoothing filters, heavy contrast and colour grading can change how skin looks. Natural-looking skin texture and pores in both photos are a good sign.

The whole area
Very tight crops can hide the edges of a treated area. A slightly wider view shows how the result blends with the skin around it.
