Skin repigmentation tattoo, micropigmentation, camouflage: the terms explained

The same treatment goes by many names. Knowing them helps you search, compare clinics and ask the right questions.

What SKINEAV offers

At SKINEAV I focus on camouflage for stretch marks, scars, burn and injury scars, vitiligo and some hyperpigmentation, plus inkless camouflage.

“We don’t fix texture, we fix color.”

Evelyn Alvares Vega, founder of SKINEAV

Is repigmentation the same as treating vitiligo?

No. A repigmentation tattoo adds cosmetic colour to stable patches. It does not treat the condition, and it is not the same as medical repigmentation therapies a dermatologist may discuss with you.

Why the names matter

When you compare clinics, ask what they mean by their terms and whose healed work you are looking at. The name matters less than the result and the honesty of the assessment.
