Does camouflage tattooing hurt?
Most clients are surprised. The sensation is usually lighter than they expected, though it varies by person and area.

Fear of pain stops a lot of people from booking. So here is a straight answer from someone who has watched many clients go through their first session.
What it feels like
Most clients describe a light scratching or tickling feeling rather than pain. It is a different experience from a large decorative tattoo, because camouflage is precise and works only where it is needed.
“We don’t fix texture, we fix color.”
Evelyn Alvares Vega, founder of SKINEAV
Why scar tissue feels different
Scars can have less sensation than normal skin, so some clients feel very little on the scar itself. Other areas, especially the edges of a scar or thin skin, can feel more sensitive. Stretch marks on the hips and inner thighs can be more sensitive than on the outer thigh.
