Covering FUT and FUE scars with SMP: blending, not erasing
A strip scar or a field of small pale dots can make people avoid short haircuts. Here is how SMP may help them blend.

Why transplant scars show
A FUT (strip) procedure leaves a line across the back of the head. FUE leaves many small round scars where grafts were taken. Both are usually paler than the scalp and grow no hair, so they show most with short hair. SMP places follicle-like dots in and around the scar, designed to break up the pale area so it blends with the hair around it.
When SMP fits, and when skin camouflage fits
Inside the hair-bearing scalp, SMP is usually the relevant technique, because the goal is to imitate hair follicles. Outside it, for example near the neck or ears, skin-tone camouflage may fit better. Evelyn is certified in both, so the choice is made for the scar, not the menu. Real results and real moments

Timing
Scars should be fully healed and mature before pigment is added, which commonly means waiting many months after surgery. If you are planning more transplant work, talk to your surgeon first so the plans fit together.
Realistic expectations
Scar tissue can hold pigment less evenly than normal scalp, so a follow-up session is usually planned. Raised or stretched scars may still show texture. Many clients find the scar much less noticeable at their usual hair length, but results vary.

Frequently asked questions
Can SMP hide a FUT strip scar?
It is designed to help a flat, mature strip scar blend with the surrounding hair. It does not remove the scar, and results vary.
Can FUE scars be covered with SMP?
Pale FUE dots often suit SMP, especially when hair is kept short.
How long after a transplant can I have SMP?
Once the scars are fully healed and mature, and your surgeon agrees. This is often many months.
Is the scar texture changed?
No. SMP adds pigment; it does not flatten or change scar texture.
