How many sessions does scar camouflage take?
There is no honest single number. There are clear reasons why one person needs one session and another needs several.

If a clinic gives you an exact session count before seeing your skin, be careful. Camouflage is built in layers, and the skin decides part of the plan.
Why more than one session is common
- Scar tissue holds pigment unevenly. Some areas take colour well, others release part of it while healing.
- Colour is built gradually. Going lighter first and adding later is safer than overworking skin in one visit.
- Healed colour differs from fresh colour. The real result only shows once the area has settled, which is when fine adjustments are made.
“We don’t fix texture, we fix color.”
Evelyn Alvares Vega, founder of SKINEAV
What affects the number
- The size of the area and how many marks there are
- How much lighter the scar is than your skin
- Texture: flat areas usually need fewer passes
- How your skin heals
- Your skin tone and how much it changes with the sun

Spacing between sessions
Sessions are spaced several weeks apart so the skin can heal fully and the colour can settle. Your plan is personal, and I will tell you the spacing for your case.
